A Look back at June: the latest this month from our Future Cochrane projects

June was another busy month as our various Future of Evidence Synthesis projects continued to go forward. We have been doing further work with our Continuing Review Groups, particularly about how tasks will be divided up in the new model. Here are some of the important things that happened in June.

The changes to Cochrane’s organisational structure are being implemented in a way that enables enable Review Groups to continue to prepare and support reviews over the next few years. Review Groups remain essential to Cochrane during the transition period and beyond but the way we work together will change. July 26 webinar: Transferring content to the Central Editorial Service - getting started

As you know, all Cochrane protocols, reviews and updates will be managed centrally by the Central Editorial Service by March 2024. To help guide Review Group colleagues through the changes, we are hosting a series of webinars focusing on the practical steps you will need to take. Reporting standards: changes to help create practical and sustainable Cochrane Reviews

Cochrane is dedicated to improving the maintenance of our reviews and enhancing access to clear, useful health information. As part of this, Cochrane will be changing the reporting guidance that our authors use. We will be using publishing standard guidelines, such as the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) for systematic reviews of interventions. Read more.
