Funding & partnerships
Building a sustainable and relevant Cochrane for the 21st Century, requires us to build on our long-term relationships with our existing partners and funders, and develop new sources of funding and new creative partnerships on a local and global level.
Our new model is designed to make Cochrane more accessible, agile and responsive to the needs of our funders and partners. Our engagement and communications activities will be more externally facing, explaining our new ways of working, outlining our achievements and the vital role we play in informing and improving the most important global health and care decisions.
Cochrane works collaboratively with partners and funders to produce and disseminate authoritative, relevant, and reliable health evidence. Our funding and partner relationships reflect our commitment to help improve the world's health through high quality, up-to-date research evidence, and to make this information accessible and easy to understand.
We are proud of our independence and believe this is central to our reputation as a trusted source of information. Therefore we do not accept commercial or conflicted funding – this is vital for us to generate authoritative and reliable information, produced by people who can work freely, unconstrained by commercial and financial interests.
