Project: Revise Editorial Policies

Aims

Clear and robust editorial policies are integral to simplifying and streamlining Cochrane evidence synthesis development. Strong policies underpin editorial processes and provide reassurance for users of evidence syntheses. This project aims to:

• Review and revise key editorial policies and guidance to support the production of Cochrane evidence syntheses.

• Improve the editorial process experience for authors, editors and peer reviewers.

What’s been happening?

The following editorial policies have been revised and are now live on the Cochrane Library:

• All editorial policies for Cochrane authors

• Appeals process

• Data sharing

• Comments policy and process

Milestones & timeline

All elements of this project should be completed by October 2023.
