Project: Optimise production workflows

Aims:

We need to make sustainable changes to our production process (copy editing and proofing tasks between acceptance and publication). Authors, editors, copy editors and our Publishing and Technology teams will all play a role in this project: helping us to move submissions efficiently through production to publication on the Cochrane Library.

This project aims to:

• Ensure our tools and software support an efficient production process leading to relevant and timely publications on the Cochrane Library

• Identify options to speed up copy editing and processes.

• Monitor production timelines and turnaround times.

• Improve the production process experience for authors, editors and copy editors.
