Project: Implementing RevMan Web
Aims
Cochrane has now fully upgraded to RevMan Web, RevMan 5, the desktop version, is no longer available. This has improved and simplified the author experience while ensuring that the people using Cochrane evidence are getting simple-to-read information in a format they can use. RevMan Web is available to all and supports the introduction of new methods and the new review format.
All Cochrane authors now also have access to a new data management feature – study centric data - when creating new reviews.
This project has achieved its aims and has now closed. Implementing RevMan Web has:
Ensured that all authors of Cochrane Reviews are working in RevMan Web.
Increased the pace at which new features can be developed in RevMan Web as RevMan 5 is retired
Made RevMan Web available to authors of systematic reviews working outside Cochrane
Simplified and streamlined review development by enabling better data management features and creation of a new review format
Offered a tool which is at the cutting edge of Cochrane methods and is regularly updated with innovative features
What’s been happening?
Revman 5 has been fully retired
Cochrane review data is now available in the Cochrane library in standard formats such as RIS and CSV
RevMan 5 files have been converted so data from older Cochrane reviews can be used in RevMan Web in the future
